Problem with text messaging
 

Ive been having problems with text messaging if i get like 6 text messages and i have to go in and out of the conversation 6 times to have them all marked as read and another problems ive had with the pro is sometimes it wont open up texting or email at all and i have to wait like 5-10 minutes then it decides to open whe ni click on it ive had the phone for a month now (i work for sprint) and becides that everything about the phone is great has anyone found any fixes for these problems or even had the problems themselves?

Check to see what software version you have It should be T850EWW-1.04-SP, if not you have old unit that was recalled at the last minute for a memory issue. And I would guess your problems are from that issue.

Nice call ya mines is .03 but ive been googles for 20 minutes cant find too much on it maybe because it was a pre-release update :( any suggestions becides calling palm tech support?

****update****my demo phone in the store has the updated software and does the same thing with the text messages so thats not the issue i guess ill just wait for palm to fix it or a cooked rom

Press up a few times while in the message you are having the conversation with. This will highlite the mssg in blue and mark it as read. The OS should have marked it read to begin with IMHO...

ya thats my problem i want the os to do it for me am i asking too much? lol

It seems to be a problem with one of the latest version of WM. I had the same problem with my mogul after installing a several different custom roms. With the stock rom and the slightly older os i never had the problem.

I think this is a problem that we will have to wait for rom update to fix. :(

This is what i usually do and it works for me perfectly! you might also want to get a new task manager because the one that comes on the phone is useless....Try one of the HTC task manager, thats the one i use and it cleans up my phone really well. Also try the "cleanRAM" this really helps the phone too. Hope this helped.
