Re: Bing! Navigation?
It does work with ours, even though not officially supported. (Well, at least we can install on ours. I haven't used it on my Treo Pro yet, but have used it on my Touch Pro.)

Actually, just ESN swapped back to my Treo Pro and started up the new Bing without a hitch. Programmed in a destination and seems to be working fine. (I am still in my house, so I can't say the map is "moving" properly, but it seems to be fine.)
UPDATE: I think this is the .cab I'm using. |

yes it worked this time, i was using Realvga before, bing told me my screen resolution wasnt supported and quit :( |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
Glad it worked for you. I don't use RealVGA myself, so I didn't see that issue.

I'm using realvga too. I changed the resolution so I could install it then I changed it back. So it will work on realvga it just won't install when it's on. |

I take that back. There are errors once you start using the app. It shuts down. Oh well. |

"<add key="UseAppServerUpdates" value="True" />" change "True" to "False" If you want to do this on your phone and have TotalCommander installed. You can associate *.config files with PocketWord by opening the Properties window, click Associate and navigating to /Windows/pword.exe. You can then open the "Bing.config" file with Pocket Word and edit it on your phone. |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
Thanks Guys,
I'll try it later this eve. |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
This even got it to work on my Samsung intrepid, but now that I have had a chance to play with it, not sure I like it better then Live search, in fact I think I like live search better, Live search gives fuel prices.

My Post HERE has the fix built into the BING CAB file. Also is anyone is having troubles installing the regular BING CAB this one will work just fine too. ;) Enjoy! |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
not using realvga, just installed it a couple days ago and it works great! I was surprised how well it pronounced the names of roads, and furthermore, how well it recognized the voice locatons I gave it to try out, even in a noisy car. Well done! Hopefully this will prompt google to port the same feature from their android version of google maps to winmo as well. Competition FTW!

using realvga I prefer WAZE m.waze.com. Not the perfect navigator, but lots of fun to use as a traffic terminal. |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
Maybe my current issue is related???
I'm trying to use Windows Live Search (which has worked just fine for a year now) and it asks if I want an update for Bing. When I click "no" windows live search shuts down and the update box gets stuck. If I click "yes" when it asks me if I want the update I get an error message saying my device is not supported. So is this related to what y'all are talking about and if I install that Bing cab would that fix my windows live search problem? |

now after installing, sometimes, the Bing program will replace live search..sometimes it doesnt. u can use Total Commander to delete the .lnk file u dont want in ur start menu. |
Re: Bing! Navigation?
Any ideas on how I can get Windows Live Search to work again or is it Bing now and I have to switch to that?
