Enable GPS on treo 800w use 3rd party application
 

understand, this device should be used under Sprint (while in US), but since i bought it in Indonesia, I cant use the GPS since it would be brought by Sprint Vision to enable it. My question, is it possible to use 3rd party application (instead of maps & sprint navigation) to run the GPS on this treo? what you would recommend (and is it applicable) and how to set it?

Try installing google maps it has an option to enable gps might works for you give it a try.

google it... it just redirects the gps to a comm port of your choise.. that way you can use it with any gps software...

p.s, google maps works perfect without redirecting your gps port..

Thanks for the suggestion, will try those all. Since it also need data connection, I try to enable first to use my carrier's line (still find the WAP solution for it). :)
