hey guys, have you heard if the new os will be available for palm phones outside of the pre?

There'll other phones in the (possibly near) future that will have WebOS, but it certainly won't run on an 800w (or any other WM phone I would imagine).

I think because of $$ WebOS will only be available on the Pre for Palm and subsequent devices. The only way it will more than likely be available for current devices is if some one extracts it and configures it.

nope, only Pre and future Palm devices will have this OS

there was a shell for older palm devices called TealOS that gave you the webOS look and some features like the cards and the virtual launcher when you swipe up, but Palm pulled that project and its not available anymore

maybe somewhere in the web you can download it

Not possible, unfortunately, for countless reasons, most significantly perhaps would be the problem of the resistive single touch screen. I'd love it too, but it just can't happen.
