How to archive threaded SMS on 800W?
Okay, I am getting somewhat frustrated here. I have a SMS message thread that I really need to keep archived. I have tried several third party apps, nothing seems to do what I want. Grrrrr ](*,)
Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook seems really slick, but it does not appear to work with WM 6.1 Pro with the new threaded SMS (from what I can tell). This seems to be pretty common in the various third-party apps I have tried... I am assuming because this threading feature is fairly new and perhaps not yet well supported, perhaps? Are there any success stories here? I am not afraid to go for the hack-and-slash approach if I could just get a little guidance. I may be new to smart phones, but not computers! Thanks in Advance!!! |

use Sprite Backup (already on the device). If you wanna go through the tree and select Palmsg.vol, you can. Otherwise, doing a full backup (which is a good idea anyway) will ensure u dont' lose those texts.

spb backup, just for your messages might work..also, ppcpimbackup has an option for sms, too. HTH

Try Microsoft's MyPhone. I don't know many of the features but I know you can back up text messages. Let me know if you can.

Re: How to archive threaded SMS on 800W?
Thanks for the suggestions, maybe I should have been clearer about what I want to accomplish.
I am wanting to get my text messages archived/exported as clear text that is viewable & printable (preferably with time & date stamps). Synchronizing conversation threads would be ideal (that is exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the Jeyo Outlook plugin). If I could just get a dump of clear text to a csv or txt file that could suffice for now..... |
Re: How to archive threaded SMS on 800W?
There is an app called PIM backup that supposedly does what you want. Looking closer at MyPhone it seems like it has that feature but when I've tried to sync my text messages it is not uploading them. Maybe just part of the beta phase.
