Text Message Alert
Hi
I have a palm 800w. Every time I change my text message alert it does not stay. I would like some assistance with this. I took it to the sprint store and they could not fix it. Could someone assists. Thanks |
Re: Text Message Alert
After you change your tone, wait 30 seconds, soft reset, and see if that does it.
Also, do you have any other programs on your phone that would conflict with the builtin manager? PhoneAlarm, etc? |

Re: Text Message Alert
The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the sound files you're using are not going into the proper file when you d/l them. With my 700WX, the default location is \My Documents.

Re: Text Message Alert
I had a similar problem when i first got my phone. It would revert back to the default sound when I didn't place the sounds in the right place. The correct spot for messaging sounds (texts, emails, voice) are in the folder My Device>Application Data>Sounds. Then go to Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Manage and make sure the sound is added in your tones. This should solve the problem if it is in fact this same issue.
