Synchronize Folders to Storage Card
 

OK, someone else must have solved this problem, but I can't seem to find them.

I am trying to synchronize various folders between workstations using my Treo 800's 8 GB storage card as the medium. I've found MobSync and ACiD Sync but neither seem to be very mature. Bonus if the sync solution encrypts the files stored on the Treo.

Another idea is to use that storage card as a removable disk in windows. No need to carry around usb drives when I'm already carrying 8 GB in my Treo. You know? If the storage card was loaded as a removable disk, I could then use Microsoft's SyncToy to synchronize my folders.

If you know any solutions, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd point me in the right direction.

I've downloaded a trial of Softick Card Export for Windows Mobile (AKA Card Export II). The Treo 800w is specifically named on the HCL. That's always good.

This program enables your Treo to function as a card reader so that you can access your micro sd card as a removable disk in Windows. Windows XP in my case.

There are a couple of limitations that I noticed right away with this solution.
1) The Card Export function has to be started manually by the user.
2) USB charging is disabled while Card Export is enabled.
3) Enabling Card Export disables ActiveSync.
4) While Card Export is enabled, the storage card is not accessible in WM6.
5) (cosmetic) The ui does not conform to the 800's square display


I am still searching for other solutions and would appreciate any help.
