wmwifirouter + tomtom controller script
2 Attachment(s)
Hey, I made this little mortscript (still a work in progress) but I think it's really handy and you may too. When assigned to a hardware button it sure simplifies the amount of buttons I press when getting in and out of my car.
While I'm still working on it. I wanted to share what I have so far. Maybe someone else will like this script idea and contribute. It basically has 4 operations right now: - Full Car Mode - starts up wmwifirouter + tomtom with no intervention. I like that. (Great for my iPod Touch.) - Travel Mode - shuts all that stuff down and turns off. (Shears off a few precious seconds when i get out of my car.) - Router Mode - starts up wmwifirouter and shuts off the screen when it's ready. - Shutdown Router System - Turns off Wmwifirouter then waits for that annoying little wifi restart and turns off. ---------------- *currently the script relies on PHMTools for screen control. Things I'm working on... -Adjust Brightness to maximum while using TomTom. Then down again when shutting off. I had this working at one point. It was cool when it did work. Here is my version 1.0 Let me know what you think! |
Re: wmwifirouter + tomtom controller script
Seems useful. I don't use TomTom but if I did I'd give this a shot. Hopefully someone else will leave a comment if they're using it.
Glad to see some more people using Mortscript; great piece of software. |
Re: wmwifirouter + tomtom controller script
does this make treo 800w work with tomtom's data service?

Re: wmwifirouter + tomtom controller script
it doesn't effect tt in any way. you have to have it working already. it just removes a lot of the button preesage involved in starting tt and wmwifirouter together when you get in your car so your friends or your ipod touch can connect up.
*I'd really like to figure the treo 800w brightness control so that the screen will go to max brightness when tt starts. Then down again when i shut off the setup |
