how can i watch youtube on my 800w???
 

help! my treo doesnt give me youtube! or any videos, for that matter...i know im supposed to have it becuase my friend has the same phone and can watch movies, and so does my wife, but she doesnt even have the same phone! how can i get youtube and other video to watch on my phone? is there a place to download it?

I now use Kinoma FreePlay for You Tube. Its worked great for me so far.

That says it all right there. With Skyfire, you can navigate YouTube.com just as if you were using a desktop PC.

I use Skyfire also but I prefer Kinoma for youtube. I like the interface a bit better. I think it is like everything else. It's a matter of user preference.

i had to remove that last post(that zip file was causing TCPMP to crash)..i found a couple of posts on ppcgeeks.com back in august/september some time, that i got every file from(TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.cab,,,ac.3.ARM.cab,,,FlashVideoBundle.cab,,,and H264.cab, and i installed them in that order if it matters)..unfortunately, i don't remember who it was that i got them from, but they're on here, but i did click the thanx button when it worked out for me, i was :drunken:, when i installed everything.....after installing, go to programs/video sites/click the "full" link under youtube. then search desktop version of youtube for video of choice/tap image or title, then tap play video...i've added the 4 cab files, successfully:)...if u do that first, after that point, you could just browse to youtube.com, pick the video you want, then tap play video....
fyi..if the current version of skyfire was avail back in august or september, when i installed everything i would have chosen skyfire over this...the previous version of skyfire kinda sucked for youtube...that's why i went through the trouble.

alright..remember read the instructs b4 install/usage...

1 TCPMP
2 ac3arm
3 FVB
4 H264

unfortunatly, skyfire is still slow on redraws. when i zoom into an area of the page, the area isn't clear for several moments. sometimes it never clears up and i have to move to another part of the page. it's annoying. opera is still much faster.

I had the same problem with my Treo 800w. I dont know how to fix it. I am now using the Kinoma player and it has all I need. Its like my own little IPOD. And YouTube works great.

because the 800w is a square windows mobile screen, where as the mogul, etc, are rectangular.

A buddy of mine was having phone lock up problems with Skyfire on his and his wife's 800w, when they took it off, the phone was OK.

Yeah! TCPMP is having problems playing videos, you can install the youbtube app posted by SANMANC on this thread post #22. Check it out works like a charm.

Well, only thing i can think of is using a streaming media player, the only one i know capable of doing that is streaming media for HTC devices, i installed this softaware on the Treo800w with no luck, iam searching for one for the 800w but so far out of luck, i post back if i find it.
