wireless Active sync with Treo 800
 

I set up pdas for people at work as part of my job.
yes i love my job.

i have set up everything pda , windows based but the new SPRINT 800w wm 6.1 wont sync

looks like it syncing..then

it comes up with error 0x8503001.


i had a hell of a time making it sync with the usb cable.
took about 15 connections on my xp pc to make it just take the contacts.

my 6700 with 6.0 works perfectlyl
the sprint treo 700w works fine
the new Sprint Touch rocks.

no issues cept this one..

Try with no encryption see if it makes a diff.

been getting the same error code with my touch.it only syncs after i restore it to manufactures default.but after restoring everything back into the phone i cant sync anything that happen to have downloaded.i really dont know what the problem is.

this is probably way too simple to resolve your issue, but maybe not:
I received the same error on my 800 when i tried to setup a new exhcange account through the "add email account option". However, whenever I went under the email account settings and then under the "outlook email" tab and entered my exchange info it worked perfectly. I don't know if this helps or not. i also had this exact same issue/resolution on my mogul

Uncheck Tasks on both PC sync and Activesync. For whatever reason, this is a glitch

I did a Google Search and it looks like you have to revert back to WMDC 6.0 and not use WMDC 6.1

It works flawlessly on my 800 with 6.1.

Is your company using an older version of exchange? I haven't checked to see if the 6.1 only works with newer versions or not. We are on Exchange 2007, but I know the Centro will not work with older versions of exchange. Probably a moot point since they are two different os's, but I am work and felt like killing time rambling here. ;-)

I had the problem untill I removed the checkmarks on the pc sync and added them back leaving the tasks unchecked.
My problem now is getting activesync to sync with maile2web exchange servers. No matter what I do email won't sync thru exchange.
Hats off to someguy 08 and his smms program that allows adding pictures to text messages on the Treo 800W.
