Side buttons show battery status, not changing volume
 

Okay, for some reason the up and down volume buttons now show battery status, instead of raising or lowering the volume.

I didn't install anything new, made no modifications, and can't for the life of me find out where to change it back. A soft reset did not help.

Anyone have any ideas?

You sure you didn't install some program or hack that hijacks the volume buttons? You can't even change them through the "Buttons" settings option.

List your programs here so we can check. Also, make a backup and try a hard-reset.

Unfortunately my last backup has the same problem. The last apps i installed were Sprite Backup 6 and Sprite Terminator...and then I did the backup.

I did find out that if I press the "shift" key, then the volume buttons, they work. So some modifier is in place somewhere.

Otherwise, I just use the following apps:

Calendar+
Weather Panel
Google Maps
Resco Explorer
Live Search
Clear Temp
vxUtil

I see a hard reset in your future!
