Wrong Time Display

Every time I hard reset my device I am given the option to set the time. I then pick my standard time zone, which is Eastern since I reside in NJ, and the time displayed is always 3 hours ahead. I have to manually change the time zone each time I hard reset the device. Any ideas??

Do you mean soft reset? A hard reset will restore the default time the device shipped with.

Hmmm...I've never had to set my time after a soft reset. Perhaps there is something else going on with you phone.

Tell us why you're hard resetting frequently.

I was only hard resetting to try out the registry change to alter the dialpad and enable larger caller ID. I tried that, and it bricked my device, so I had to hard reset to begin from scratch. I noticed it then, and I changed it. Hard reseted my device after a few experimental changes again and it did the same thing. I then hard reseted the device to try and see if it would actually do so again and yes, indeed, it did do so once again. I don't get it.

Hard reset will default the timezone to Pacific which is 3 hours behind Eastern. This is probably due to Microsoft as it is the same when you just install the Windows. :P

Once you set the timezone or use network time and turn on the Radio, it should be getting back to normal.

Funny, I live in PHILLY & the same thing happens to me... I don't know why... I've just been fixing it manually.
