weird problem with bluetooth headset

i just got a plantronics voyager 510 per advice from all of you guys here, and i have a problem with it.
if i'm using it and it's connected to the phone and everything, and if i press the red on button to check time on the phone and press it again (or leave it alone) and when the phone turns off the screen again, it disconnects the headset and the phone. is there any way around that?

also, is there anything that you guys recommend as far as what is the best way to make sure that it keeps being paired with the phone.

thanks.

I assume you mean you are pushing it while in a call? Try the start menu key or the green send key. The red end key will always hang up a conversation.

no, not during conversation, it's like when i press the red power key to turn the screen on, and it turns on, and if i press the red power key again to turn the screen off, sometimes the headset and phone will unpair, but not always...anyway, that's not too bad of a problem at this time...hopefully it won't be a big issue, also when i'm outside i get static....not too much, just wondering if it's normal, when i'm inside it's fine...just wondering if you guys had any tips as to how to make these headsets as efficient as possible

You may want to update you bluetooth stack.

This may also be on our site but I couldn't find it quickly.

What does updating bluetooth stack have to do with "A2DP Now Working on Sprint 700wx!!!" Cause thats where this link goes. :?:

It's a new bluetooth stack. It was taken primarily to enable A2DP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A2DP#Ad...ile_.28A2DP.29) support on the 700w/wx.

It won't hurt. Your headset might work better with a newer stack. Just download it and try it.

Yeah. The primary reason for the new files is to enable A2DP, but the files are all newer versions of the drivers. It's worth installing. I have the 510 and the bluetooth update and I don't have your problem. Good luck.

is this the same as the hannip vxz 700wx A2DP version of the bluetooth stack? if so, i already have it installed, or do i need to uninstall that one and install this one

Pibe38 06-05-2007 12:35 PM

It's the same one.
