It's an application called Wisbar Advance 2, follow the link posted above for more info on it.

what's the difference between the advance and the advance desktop?

It's all on their website. WAD is a plugin for WA2. It allows you to create multiple virtual Today screens and sort them at your discretion.

oh wow....that sounds cool, is this software a memory hog or is it managable so it doesn't use a lot of memory

Why don't you TRY it? That sort of thing is allowed when you install trial software...

I have seen users run WA2 and WAD on their 700wx's. I never understood WAD, so I didn't use it. I used WA2 for a while, however, got tired of some slowdown and wanted to have more free memory and uninstalled it.

WA2 is very usable, I just chose speed over eye candy for a while. I used WA2 for quite some time, I may reinstall if I see a skin I like.

yea...i tried it, haven't really gotten to play with it a lot, seems nice, but i can't find a lot of square themes 240 x 240 all of them are 320 x 240, but i'll probably start playing with it soon....thanks for all your input

Pibe38 04-15-2007 10:58 PM

Well don't be confused, any QVGA theme should work on the 700wx. Maybe the background (TSK file) may note fit, but the menus, etc. should work.

bmatic586 04-15-2007 11:29 PM

oh ok....so as long as it's a QVGA theme i should be able to put it one there....nice.

what are the file extensions that i should be looking for?

tahnks

They are usually packs actually, I'd check the FAQs over at the Lakeridge Software forums.

Basically you'd download a ZIP file that has a folder with a ton of files. Then you create a Themes folder in Program Files\Lakeridge Software\Wisbar Advance 2 and drop the whole theme folder in there.

Some themes are bigger than others depending on art, and some of them even include sounds that overide the WM5 system sounds.

yea, i got it figured out finally...it works pretty well, gives you more options. i like it....thanks for all your feedback
