Who here leaves their 700WX perminatly online? I pay for unlimited service but is it good to do that?

That's the whole point of these devices, especially if you have push e-mail. I never click disconnect from my EVDO network, of course noone is online 24/7 because of coverage issues.

As many people have mentioned in the past, unlimited data plans are a must with these types of devices.

i only turn mine off when i go to school beacuse if i dont my battery will be dead by the time i get out. service isnt goo in there and it searchs and just dies by like 5th period. lol

but rest of time its on. i just wish they could make a real good aim app jst like what the sidekick's have and i would be so happy i would cry LOL jk.

Even when it's on, your EVDO internet connection will remain in an idle state until a program accesses it (such as WeatherPanel for an update) or for push email, etc. I don't really see a need to turn it off unless you don't have an unlimited plan (and even without it, if you ensure you don't have random programs accessing the internet, you should be fine).
