Now what?
OK, so after having my 700WX (VZW) for almost a year, I decided to make the big leap and make my 1st custom ROM flash to Landon.Epps Full ROM (http://discussion.wmexperts.com/showthread.php?t=164457). Followed the instructions to the letter. Everything went well. Restored my device using my most recent SPB Backup file. Other than some memory savings, my device looks and acts like I haven't done a thing to it. Am I missing something?

Re: Now what?
Go to Settings/System/About/Version and make sure that you updated from WM5.

Re: Now what?
Hmmmm...I'm thinking you missed a step. Try it again.

Re: Now what?
I'm not sure... but maybe spb had something to do with it... i would do it all over again and follow Coz's instructions to check the version of your OS BEFORE you restore your data... let us know
good luck |
Re: Now what?
I'll give that a go. When restoring via SPB, should I restore the registry as well? I seem to recall reading something about not doing that.

Re: Now what?
restore? no. 1) flash 2) hard reset 3) reinstall apps recustomize your phone. your lucky your phones working after restoring wm5 backup OVER wm6.

Re: Now what?
Thanks, that clears things up some

Re: Now what?
So after flashing the ROM and doing a hard reset, you're recommending that I do a clean install of the apps I want back on my device? I'm assuming that restoring my PIM data from a back up would be OK.
