You beat me to it...

Install was a breeze...I mean, just turn off bluetooth before you do it. I used TC to transfer stuff over.

Here is a screen shot, glorious oh glorious stero!!!

lawmangrant 02-22-2007 04:53 AM

OK...well, I had to beckan help from hannip as it was not as easy as I thought...

Get that DotFred's task manager...It's free and good, and well, it worked!

GLORIOUS WIRELESS STEREO!!!!

remlle 02-22-2007 09:01 AM

does this fix the issue with the non stereo headsets and voice command?

willyrick 02-22-2007 11:21 AM

OK, for those having problems copying the dll's to the Windows dir o n the Treo:

See Hannip's original post over @ TC as linked in Kaiguy's OP, he has added some new instructions. You'll need to DL and install Resco Explorer and dotFred's TaskMgr

This kicks ***! I'm using the 700wx with an IOgear Stereo HS w/ mic, seems to work great, and for the 1st time in my WM5 history the BT is actually loud and clear enough. Can talk and make calls with no problems, music comes right back after call is over. ALSO, I just got the Logitech ipod HS to work as well. Controls on both the IOgear and Logitech work as well !

Thanks Hannip, Lawmangrant, Kaiguy (and everyone else who helped) !!!!!

now on to Voice Dial over BT ....

wowthatisrandom 02-22-2007 12:40 PM

NICEEE TIME TO ORDER MY HEADPHONES!!!! been waiting for this forever Hannip you are truely the man!

thanks!

update... ordered my logitech BT heaphones!!!

willyrick 02-22-2007 01:56 PM

WOW! Voice Command seems to be working through Stereo HS !!!

WOW !!! this may be even better news:

Using IOgear GBMA201 Stereo HS/mic paired as BOTH Stereo and Handsfree:
I turned on the buuilt in Voice Command and am able to dial out mapped VC button to side button (was WMA). I'm not absoulutely sure its picking up through the HS mic, as I'm trying to block the phone mic as best I can with finger etc, BUT VC apperars to work through the HS !!!!

PLEASE someone verify this with same or similar hardware ...

budney 02-24-2007 12:22 PM

Just a FYI:

This is more then just the A2DP files from the Verizon 700wx. It is a whole new BT stack with some extra goodies too! :D

Works on all 700w & 700wx
No more Bluetooth drop out
Bluetooth DUN
THB Kit (Car Kit Options)

m4zt3r 02-24-2007 03:03 PM

no more of my headset disconnecting and reconnecting...awesome

wowthatisrandom 02-24-2007 07:18 PM

my logitech frepulses came today... sounds great no skipping! amazing!

does neone have a BMW? if so does this fix the bt pairing problem with that? its for my dad i assume it does i just havent been home to update his bt stack

budney 02-24-2007 08:35 PM

I wish I had a BMW! :D

I am going to look into a Stereo BT Headset soon. Both my iTech & Generic clips sound bad with "UseJointStereo" set to 1 (Off). :( And worst of all the Moto & Logitech types don't fit my big head.

My Motorola H700 works great!!

First, I want to thank all of you that contributed to this thread. After reading all posts regarding Bluetooth, I decided to install Hannip's Bluetooth stack. I do not have stereo headphones, but I decided to install it to see if it would help my situation:

Before

* My Bluetooth connection would drop, but not entirely. I could see on my 700 that the connection was active, but was unable to actually hear a call through the HS. I would have to do a soft-rest and pair again for it to work.
* Voice quality when Bluetooth was actually working was just crappy. People would tell me that my call quality was very poor with a lot of static and cracking.

After

* My BT connection stays active and has not dropped off all day.
* I called my friend in Seattle and he could not tell I was even using a BT headset until I told him. He said the voice quality was 1,000% better than any previous call I had made to him.

All this time I thought he BT issues were related to the headset. I'm glad there are forums like this one that shares solutions to existing problems.

Now my next problem is figuring out what BT stereo headset to use with my new and improved 700wx.

You all take care,

Boogaloo

Instead, try installing Hannips A2DP hack. I lost my BT after installing the Palm Messaging hack, but didn't want to hard to reset. I figured I'd give it a hail mary and installed hannips hack. Ever since my BT has worked GREAT. Even better than before.

So, before you hard reset, try hannips A2DP hack. It might save you a lot of time and you might see enhanced performance. If this helps just one person, I'll be happy.

Good luck.

Please read the quote above from another thread, this may be the solution to your BT problems!!!

Re: WOW! Voice Command seems to be working through Stereo HS

Verified... Treowx + Jarbra JX-10... seems to be working... unless the Treo's microphone is THAT good.

I'm pretty sure the consensus is that this does not enable bluetooth voicecommand capability. But to truly confirm it would one of you mind putting your Treo underneath a pillow or something (or even better, in another room with the door closed). Range-wise that shouldn't be a problem...

DavidIQ 03-14-2007 03:50 PM

This is great! I had bought the Logitech F-0361A for iPods ($20 on eBay!) exactly for this and was disapointed when it wouldn't work. I had done this hack over the weekend and just now got to pair up the headset with the phone. Works flawlessly! Well almost...as I expected the controls on the headset don't work. Well the volume works but not the forward and back buttons. No biggie though...I can live without that

Re: WOW! Voice Command seems to be working through Stereo HS

Yea... sadly you're right... but this does show me that the microphone on the 700wx can pick up pretty dang well.

Sorry if I got anyone happy over nothing

Why did you expect it not to work? I can't speak of your headphones specifically, but I tried out the Motorola weird looking ones and the controls worked fine in WMP...

Because I imagined that the receiver that comes with the headphones is wired to handle this part of the headphones on the iPod. The receiver actually plugs right into the iPod so this is why I thought it wouldn't work. They weren't made with the non-iPod user in mind ;-)

how do u uninstall this it said 22 roms were uninstalled but 9 were renamed with X how do i delete the X roms completly

budney 04-04-2007 08:26 PM

You will need Total Commander or a like program to delte the unwanted files.

cynteeuh 04-13-2007 02:14 AM

Does the BT headset have to be "stereo" ?

Does the BT headset have to be "stereo" or can it be any bt headset?

ad2p has to use a BT stereo headset a normal BT headset wont work...

pimpin-tl 04-18-2007 12:02 PM

Sorry but any BT headset works with the ad2p patch. If you want stereo obviously you need a stereo BT headset.

Also you can go into the windows folder on the phone and delete all the files that start with x in that folder. Make sure you do a clean restart before deleteing them. No need for Total Commander.

Pibe38 04-18-2007 01:53 PM

So you are saying I could listen to music, via BT, with my H700 headset?

I think you are the first one to claim this, I think it depends on what BT profiles the headset supports; and most BT headsets only support headset and handsfree, which do not support listening to music over BT.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong please...

pimpin-tl 04-18-2007 07:22 PM

I never said for you can use the stereo part. I said BT headsets stereo or not work with the patch in there. He never mentioned it was for the stereo part. The mono ones are for the calls only the music stereo ones are obviously for stereo music.

Pibe38 04-18-2007 10:24 PM

I think wow safely assumed the poster was asking if he could listen to music with a regular BT headset, after all, I doubt anyone would install a patch to add stereo music over BT by having to remove the BT regular headset functionality.

ski15freak 04-24-2007 07:34 PM

slow on the uptake

can't believe I didn't see this sooner, the cab file the install is in now makes it super easy. any word as to if we are any closer to voice command being fully functional with bt headset yet?
thanks

Pibe38 04-24-2007 08:07 PM

I think I've heard it may not be possible at all, but I'm not sure. I don't think anyone is working on it. I haven't heard from hannip in a while on the matter...

miksnake 05-08-2007 09:15 PM

One more clarifying question...I think the last question was a little misunderstood.

Basically, by installing the A2DP patch, can one listen to music using any bluetooth headset (whethe it's a stereo headset or just a regular handsfree headset)?

I have a Jabra BT headset and just installed the A2DP patch and could not listen to my Audible music through the handsfree headset. Now, I may have just not installed the software correctly or configured it correctly, so any help would be appreciated.

The other problem I have is that I can not even get stereo using any wired solution either. The wired earbud that came with the phone only has sound going to the right earbud (whether it's a phone call or Windows Media music or Audible Player music). I've also tried another wired solution and got only mono with that as well.

Pibe38 05-08-2007 09:18 PM

Not sure about the wired headset.

As far as BT, the A2DP patch will allow you to listen to music over BT with BT Stereo Headphones, not a regular BT headset/handsfree.

wouldya 07-10-2007 01:02 AM

I've followed all the install instructions, and used the one step .cab....

But my Moto S9 and 700wx dont seem to be playing nice.

I have the S9 paired with my ipod adapter and those two work perfectly.

Any ideas?
