how do I open .zip files on my treo?
I'm trying to download various software from this webpage on my treo, but they are all zzip files, how do I open these on my treo?
thank you |
You can use 3rd party explorers like Resco Explorer, I think Total Commander does it too.
|
I also used total commander mostly because its free. This seams to be a question that would be better answered in the 700 section so I am going to move it there. 8)

PocketRAR (free) is good for all types of compressed files.
Also, GSFinder+ (free), a file explorer, has built-in .zip support. |
I used Totlal Commander for about six months before recently upgrading to Resco File Explorer. It's worth every cent of the upgrade.
In fact the only thing I can fault is that with FTP, there is no option to not retain the password. |
I agree, Resco is worth every penny.

You can download the CAB for Total Commander on your phone from here: http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm then install it and use it to unzip files directly downloaded to your device.
Same for Resco Explorer from here: http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/downloads.asp |
