sms question
 

a friend of mine installed the palm threaded sms program on his treo 700wx and it did'nt work correctly for him. how does he completely remove it? it still says sms on the lower lefthand side. he will not get on here and read a damn thing or even ask for help, so I thought i might help him. i told him to hard reset, but he does'nt wanna do that either. thanks guys.

hard reset is the only way, i just did it.

think of it as throwing out all your clothes and buying all new... if he didnt have a backup lol.

yeah i dunno if he backed up or not. i told him to hard reset. guess he will just live with it til then. thanks orange.

Well ideally he made a backup of his 700wx before installing the threaded sms. It's then quite an easy process to restore pre-threaded sms. Otherwise I think he's looking at a hard reset.

Hard reset is the only way, he's unable to get the program to work? I have been using it for quite a while now and can't imagine my treo without it anymore ;)

yeah i dont know what he did wrong. but he did do a hard reset and all is well now. i do need to know, are the same steps involved with it as with my ppc 6700? i looked at his after he did it, and we could send them with the threaded app, but when he recieved a sms, it wouldnt open from there for him.
