Microsoft ActiveSync Question
 

I'm not sure if anyone has incountered what i have been going through? I have install the Activesync 4.2 or whatever comes on the OEM Install disc. I finish installing and I connect my 700wx and create my profile etc. etc. and then when I shutdown my computer and come back and start my compter up again, Activesync doesn't want to sync with my Treo. For some reason it looses its profile and I have to uninstall the program and reinstall to work agian.

I think I must have done this 5 or 6 times before just keeping my computer in sleep mode instead of shutting it down. Has anyone else exprienced this problem and how can I fix it?

Come on I can't be the only person this has happen to!

I was having similar issues when I reformatted my laptop (worked fine before). I installed the 4.5beta Activesync and its working fine. Maybe give that a shot.

Sometimes when I connect my Treo 700wx to my computer, Active Sync indicates that the Treo is not connected. I noticed that this only happened when I connected the sync cable to the Treo and then connected the usb end to the computer. Everything works fine when I connect the USB end of the cable to the computer and THEN connect the cable to the Treo. Don't ask me why it makes a difference, but this works for me. Maybe this solves your issue.
