Sprint 700wx on Verizon

I tired of waiting for Verizon to come out with the 700wx. :x So here's my question can I use a Sprint 700wx on the Verizon network. They can be had on eBay at resonable price.
Thanks

Basically it's next to impossible... I think you could do it with the proper software and tools, but you'd have to go through a TON of trouble.

However there is a way to change the ESN on a PPC6700... but I don't know if this would let you take it over to another carrier.

I know this could be done with the 600 and the 650. But those were palm based and a bit easier to work with. With the windows OS you are gonna have to do some registry hacking and such to get data working on them. I would suggest not trying it.

didn't the library of congress pass the rule that you can take your equipment to any carrier. they would have to add your esn into their database.

now setting up other stuff good luck with that.

I did a little digging. and found this.

Federal Register/Vol. 71, No. 227/Monday, November 27, 2006/Rules and Regulations.

?201.40 Exemption to prohibition against circumvention.

(5) Computer programs in the form of firmware that enable wireless telephone handsets to connect to a wireless telephone communication network, when circumvention is accomplished for the sole purpose of lawfully connecting to a wireless telephone communication network.

No how hard it will be to get you ESN moved over I don't know but the law appears to be on your side.

Well, Verizon is raising their text messages to 15 cents per message, so all ya have to do is say youre canceling because that and they should let you out of your contract without an ETF.
