Roaming problems... full signal, can't make/receive calls
 

I've had this problem for a while but have been lazy about resolving it because I rarely roam.

I have the phone set up to "Allow Roaming." When I'm Roaming, it displays Digital Roaming and shows my signal. However, every call I try to make connects, rings, and I get a message along the lines of "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. Roaming is unavailable blah blah."

I called Sprint and they are clueless. They said my account is properly configured. Any ideas?

I would stop into a sprint store and have them "reprogram the phone (i.e. ##(Lockcode)#, MDN & MSID)

How would that help with roaming?

Does this roaming problem occur when you roam everywhere or just in certain areas? What PRL are you on (Start|Settings|System|About|Phone)?

The problem occurs every time I roam. Current PRL is 20225. CS flagged me for an update last night and I did it a couple times but it doesn't seem to be sticking, which is another thing that's pissing me off.

Regardless, I don't think a PRL update will affect my ability to make roaming call, only my ability to find a signal when Sprint isn't available... right?

Did you change something with ##EVDO# (##3836#) - force or disable EVDO

If Yes change it for automatic and it should work :shock: :D
