1.15 issue vs. active sync problem??
 

DUN was working great with 1.13. now not working at all. is the issue with 1.15 or could it be a problem with my 700wx periodically trying to sync with server (ie: mail2web)?? if its a 1.15 problem, then is downgrade to 1.13 the only solution??

Do I need to install anything to the Treo or just to my laptop? Sorry for sounding like an idiot!

Ok nevermind.
I installed the drivers and hooked everything up.
I saw the modem link program on my Treo and got everything working exactly like the first post said.
I have been trying to connect for over 2 hours now and it just will not work.
I too have the 1.15 update. Has anyone been able to confirm that this is the problem? If it is can you tell me how to go back to 1.14?

On an unrelated note, my MMS Pix messaging will not send pix either. Can that somehow be related to the not being able to connect to the internet via tethering? Just a thought since that also stopped working after the 1.15 upgrade.

You know the funny thing for me is that when I used my parents laptop while waiting on my new one BT DUN worked fine on her HP with Win XP. I just got my new laptop and it's running Vista Home Premium and I can't use BT DUN at all. and I have the 1.15 update on my treo. weird that everone else has a problem but mine worked without a hitch on xp

Same thing happening to me. BT Dun woring on Xp, but not on Vista. Must be 1.15 Rom.

Ditto... works fine on my laptop with xp but not on my desktop with vista.

It seems from all the posts that the 1.15 update kills this type of tethering (which is faster and otherwise superior to PDANet). I have a phone with an older 1.13 ROM - can someone help me copy this ROM so that others might downgrade to it?

Also - has anyone performed this type of tethering on a Mac, or is PDANet necessary for that OS? Perhaps tethering under Parallels or VMWare (running Windows XP on the Mac in realtime) would enable connection sharing as an alternative to PDANet?

Can this be possible, it will be a good solution to the 1.15 rom issues.

sooo, question true or not for ppl who have 1.15 rom, it works or it doesn't work? And all this about going back to 1.13 rom, i heard its not possible. So before i got thinking and bashing the computer for not working. I want to know if its a fact that it wont work with 1.15 or if those that were having probs were just a coincidence
