tethering with 700wx

Is it possible to tether on the wx like you can on the 6700? If so, how? Thanks!

pdanet freezes my wx....

whether i have it on AC power or not, whether i let it go to sleep or not.... it locks up after 10 minutes when connected.

no PDAnet for me.

The guide at SU works well I am using my 700wx as a modem to post this. If you are going to try this make sure when you get to the dial up box be sure you clear the user name and pass word than check the box that says save user name and pass word or you will get an error.

Edit: I am getting 1.4 megs/sec data speeds in Fort Worth

question though....
with all of the "will they charge me" stuff going on, question is, will they?

I had a LG 550 before this 700wx, and Sprint billed my usage as a "Casual 3G Event" and I got charged.

Is this different?

Thanks!

that's what pdanet says when you connect all the time. that is not your actually speed. go to somewhere like dslreports.com/mspeed to test you connection.

Certs 11-28-2006 03:00 PM

2.4 Mbps is the max speed of the connection b/t phone and PC that pdanet allows. NOT speed of phone/Internet. 2.4 is what it always says...
