Goofed, didnt remove tweaks when I updated now I cant uninstalle em

I thought I removed all my tweaks via preware but I had some installed from the webos quick install too, now when I try to uninstall them to preoperly install them it says uninstaller failed.

Any ideas?

Try the EPR (Emergency Patch recovery) in Preware. Install and reset.

I've had that happen, and it didn't seem to give me any problems, but I was able to reinstall most with out any issue. In one instance I did a full WebOS Doctor reboot which fixed everything of course. But that was really just cuz i wanted to see what it the full reboot process was.

Use WebOS Quick Install to uninstall all those tweaks...then go back to Preware and reinstall. Remember, you can install a bunch of tweaks and only reset once after you've installed them all.

When I use webos quick install to uninstall em it gives me a real long error message.

+1

The doctor is really not a bad idea.

What tweaks are you stuck with??

i'd say dump it and start over

on another note going in the other direction, i have my store's demo Pre i've been tinkering with, it only has one or two tweaks and a customer theme installed but when i run it to check for updates it claims to be up to date with version 1.1

+1 on Coz's suggestion. Make sure you have the most current version of WebOS Quick Install. If that fails you may need to use WebOS Doctor.

That doesn't always work, when 2.5 came out, it couldn't remove tweaks installed under 2.03.

I still recommend using Emergency Patch Recovery via Preware.
