Re: Potential Pre twisting fix...
If you take it to Sprint and it is beyond 30 days they will tell you that Palm is aware of the issue and they will not replace it for that reason. They also will claim the same when it comes through the light bleed issue. My suggestion if you are within thirty days is ask for a replacement for whatever valid issue you have with your device and inspect the replacement before they activate it.

Re: Potential Pre twisting fix...
I tried to get mine replaced today and the guy went in the back and got a new one that was even worse than mine and said see, this is how there made. I couldn't believe how bad the oreo was on that phone. I could see in the phone from the side. I really hope palm steps up and shows responsibility on getting these phones fixed. If not, when the next hot phone drops, ebay will be flooded with oreos and milk

Re: Potential Pre twisting fix...
It's kind of a toss up really. The best phone I saw was a Palm "Advocate" at a Sprint store.
No twist and a gap that looked perfect. My refurb is probably the 2nd best. Tiniest of twist and just enough gap to get my case snapped on. My build date is 6/19 with a 7/19 refurb date. His was built in May. I saw a 7/30 build last week that was garbage. Sorry for the formatting, not sure what I did I'm mobile. |
Re: Potential Pre twisting fix...
I don't mind if it does that click noise when you try to twist it. I know it should have a little play, but the ones I have had all have a little too much twist. Sprint keeps saying that's the way it is. Funny how the floor model doesn't do it.
Good news is when I went to talk about the twist they gave me an extra battery so that's makes two. Really helps seeing the battery sucks on this thing. |
