Hi guys,
please help, i need to unlock my palm pre, i am living in Mexico, so i am not able to active the device from the place that i live. As soon as i turn the device on i get the Activation error from sprint.

J/K, from what everyone is saying unlocking it hasn't seemed to happen yet. I am sure the info will be here when it does.

Go look at mobile-files forum.
There is SPC unlock and carrier data threads already there

The pre SPC has been cracked for over 2 months.

You want to do this:
Install activation bypass rom
Crack the SPC
Get the MEID added to your providers database in vietnam
Upgrade to 1.1 and put your data settings in.
This can all be found over there :mrgreen:

So quick question, is it possible to use the Palm Pre with any sprint contract as long as you have data? I have seen posts where people have gotten it to work on different carriers, but how bout sprint with any unlimited data plan?

Nope.

actually its the Simply Everything plan and any Everything Data Plan. and there are a couple business plans.
