No, but have you put your device in dev mode? Instructions for this are in the second post.

Obviously, I am out of the Pre loop at this point, and would like to be able to help you more, but perhaps someone else can step in.

Did you try the translator app in the first post? Give it a shot and see if it works for you.

After you put your Pre in dev mode and restarted did your PC install a device called Novacomm? Also do you have the latest Java version. It has been noted by some on PreCentral that you may need a updated version to run it.

Ok, mine didn't work at first either, but all I did was after downloading those 2 programs make sure you restart your computer. That's all I did and it works fine now. If I were you I'd reinstall the programd snd sfter BOTH are installed restart your computer.

I didn't restart mine and it worked for me but it never hurts to try. What happened with me was it did not install the Novacomm device so I unplugged the Pre then plugged it back in. It then installed but did take a while to complete.

Someone should do a step by step video on how to root/jailbreak the Palm Pre. Also a video on installing/removing homebrew apps.

Will hopefully make things easier for people.
