Been Running SPB on every Lioryte ROM and not one problem. I have upgraded my Moblie shell to the latest version, maybe that is where you are having a problem.

As far as they keyboard, just push and hold the keyboard button until the list of keyboards comes up. Once you change it, it stays until you reboot.

I had finally managed to get my keyboard change to stick based on earlier help, but this method of changing is wonderful! I like to be able to switch keyboards occasionally and this is nice in that it allows me to do it.

As far as SPB, I do have the latest version, but it's not really a factor anymore. I've gotten used to the thing at the top and don't even really mind the weird line at the bottom now. Now just have to find a better way to have the x button actually close the app and I'll be thrilled with 6.5.3 (as opposed to just really liking it)!

So far this is fantastic! Trying to see if I can get VZ nav to work on it... if not no biggie, at least it is smooooth and so far bug free!

Okay, I've been using 28230 for a little over a week now and I've noticed an oddity that seem to be new. Occasionally my phone will seem to get into a half way state. For example, I was talking on the phone earlier and when I hung up the screen was turned off. This isn't anything new, but when I hit the power button, the screen wouldn't come back on. I had to soft reset the phone. This doesn't just happen with the phone...it seems to happen at any time. While I remember having this happen rarely before upgrading, it's now much more frequent. Has anybody else seen this?

Hi there, I flashed (for the first time) to 23282, and I've been getting an error message that I haven't seen before. (screen shot attached). Can anyone help me with how to get rid of it. I can x out of it, sometimes it takes a couple times, then it goes away. But it randomly comes back up.

Looks like it could be an error from a specific program or app that you're using. Have you done a hard reset? That sometimes helps quite a bit.

Latest COM 5 Branch Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4524 (March 16, 2010 15:55:51)

System info report attached, not a lot changed only BaseApps, BROWSING, BTDUN, MediaOS, Office, Shell, Webview.

AKU is 5500 23111 has a newer AKU but nothing noticeable and I know people like the threaded email of COM 5 ;)

As with all latest COM 5 releases, they come with a newer version of office and so I cook it in- TellMe version

ROM Notes:

* OK Soft Key still isn't working With Settings-personal-phone-services. Map OK to a hard button
* No WMP controls with lockscreen. Still :(

I don't know if MS is pranking me or if its real, I got a notification pop-up this morning that my version of windows mobile will expire 30 days from 05/01/2010....

using V23518 with MS Voice, TellMe & Office cooked in

anyone else getting this?

OK here goes...

I don't have my original 23518 file but I did manage to get one. Looks like this should work. (A patched Shell32.exe) Attached is a .zip file with the shell32.exe file and a .cab file.

Instructions:

Extract file. Install cab file to device memory and soft reset OR copy shell32.exe to /windows directory using Resco/TC and soft reset.

Please let me know if this fixes the time bomb issue. Sorry abot all the trouble 23518 was a very popular release...

Im trying the .cab version on a phone I have hard reset and it saysd can be installed because it doesnt have "sufficient system permissions"...

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but with 23551 I seem to be missing the "Dismiss" button for notifications (texts, emails, etc.) Strange thing though, if I tap where it was previously it seems to dismiss the pop up.

I am currently running Lioryte rom. Can I go back to the latest stock rom on the Verizon site without bricking the Omnia.
Also when I reboot it it says my copy of windows will expire in 15 days.

Yes, you can go back. The "timebomb" wasn't able to be removed in that build.

I'm personally using Lioryte's 28232 with TellMe and have really liked it so far. No timebomb in it so you'd be okay with that.

Well, now that it's bricked I can't connect to activesync and it won't hard reset. Anyone know a solution to downgrading? Thanks.

When you say it won't hard reset what's the error you're getting? Also, if you can't get it to hard reset, have you tried just flashing to a new custom ROM? UMDL might work where the samsung tool won't. I don't know that for a fact, but it might be something to try.

Thanks for responding. I finally got it to hard reset but the same message arises:

"This concludes the beta test of this release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make tis a great product for our customers."

"To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the that you used to obtain your current beta release."

I sent Lioryte a plea for help via his web site and by pm. I'll post if he responds.

I tried umdl but it doesn't read the omnia.

I finally got it! I loaded the FlashWM7Black23064.bin rom in umdl and then I changed the date on my computer to 5/1/09 and held down on the call, end and volume buttons while I turned on the omnia power. Umdl loaded the rom. Then I used the latest verison omnia rom using their tool. All should be fine now. whew! Thanks.

* The newest build with the newest AKU 5308.
* Added a procedure to compress all .png files in the cooking procedure to enhance speed and memory. (170.5/179 in pure base)
* Added tweaks to try and improve scrolling while in email screen.

Attached is 23218 SYSVersion report- No Change logs yet as my builds are not up-to date. (yet ;))

For anyone that had an issue with email scrolling, please feedback.

Build 23563 isn't the last COM5 build, 23569 is. I chose this build because it comes from a Da_G rollup, has a native voice command and was the only build I could find that wasn't messed with (VK ready/ WQVGA ready, etc-)

* From what it looks like the branch known as COM 5 has reached its end with 23569.

* This ROM was build with OSKitchen 1.31.beta5, so I still using my tool to resize the .PNG files.

* Attached is the Sys Report for the common folder

I wanted to see what has changed if anything with WM 6.5 .vs 6.5.X. It was stable for me the whole day. It was a good reminder for me to why WM 6.5.X saved me from throwing the Omnia away. Not so finger friendly. However, for those of you that want to use the most up-to-date WM6.5 that is compatible with 99% of WM 6.1 programs/apps (start menu on top, as well as X/close program).

Also, I added a little somethin', more on it with the next WM 6.5.X release

Hello Lioryte,

just back to flashing, used BW's cf03 rom previous. Now flashed to dc22 and your 23195 w/office. Sweet ride so far. Started to tweak some files and found I can't seem to change attributes on the cpr files. Tried using Total Commander, no luck. I see a rom check box checked. Does this mean I can't overwrite any cprs or pngs??. Any Help Appreciated!

* I have tried to get the touch engine to work but for some reason it's not working. FTouchSLDll.dll is in \Windows and the reg. settings are there at HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH and so IDK why the default scrolling is still at effect.

Just loaded 23130. Nice action. Re-Dumped my files back in. Tried to load the fm radio cab. After load, message says was successful but it was made for a lower win version. Ran it w/headphones, push play button, nothing, no volume... any clues?? Any one else w/this?

Hi, I just updated from CF03 (and BW WM7 23064) to DC22/DF14 using the verizon upgrade tool. I then installed V23569 Base. From there, SPB and Garmin and I am off and running. So far, so good.

Question: It seems some apps don't exit properly. I am always going into the task manager to kill them off. Thoughts?

I don't have nativecase installed being a base ROM. please see post#2 for resources, look at ameba as well as showcase. I use arkswitch.
