It wouldn't. The phone I described would never sell for $99, but a year from now that technology will not be so farfetched on a phone (not even the AMOLED screen). It would go for around $350-400.

What irks me is that Apple proved by making one device that's missing basic features, numbskulls will still line up 72 hours in advance and pay $600 for it. We know MS is capable of producing the ideal OS in WM7, that HTC has what it takes to build the perfect device, and that Sprint has the network to distribute the services. If only they would get on the same page and make the God Phone we all know they can.

Maybe this time next year they will.

Absolutely! All the features we want are on HTC phones, they're just all spread out between the devices. Why put a 5MP camera in the Imagio, and then a 3MP camera in the TP2? If they took all the best parts from the phones they have and put them together it'd be perfect.
