I'll see, I haven't gotten any notices or charges for tethering so far, but ill look into it to make sure.

As a contract professional, I always love this one. I never allow this without written permission from both parties. Anyways, on my next renewal, I'm going to add "following terms and conditions is subject to change." Just for fun. :)

yeah that's never something you like to see because its almost like in the NFL where the owner can just drop you even though you have a contract and it's like "sorry, terms changed"

Comcast tried to rape me with that one...

when i first got my diamond in feb. my bill had 15g of data usage from downloading roms and apps. but there were no extra charges.. i still use on average 8g a mounth teaathering and tinkerin. i have an older free incoming 500 plan with 30 dollar unlimitted data pack. ive never been charged for usin to much data. i do though get calls from sprint where tere trying to convince me to switch to a everythong plan. whitch i refuse to do cuz they all cost more then what i pay already. im guessin the plan i have is one of the grandfathered plans u guys r talkin bout. im thinkin its another reason not to switch to an everthing plan.

I hear ya, but the Diamond does not charge while using wifi. As you said, I think it has to do with overheating.
With usb, I am able to charge while surfing.

I use WM WiFi Router for hours upon hours, and charge my Diamond through the provided AC cord with no problems what so ever. I can even charge it through the USB on my Macbook.

doesnt everyway you can tether use ICS to get online... even with wmwifirouter, ics is involved, so id assume other apps are utilizing ics as well...

so arent they all using a stock feature????

Yeah, no major news on Sprint about the tethering, but to be on the safe side, I personaly use PDANet. PDANet supposes to mask the tethering so Sprint can't tell. Just a peace of mind thing :)

I don't think sprint really gives a damn, I have yet to see ONE person here say they got charged for tethering using ANY method...
