she made it seem as if the touch pro 2 (besides better keyboard) remained relatively the same. She didn't go nearly in depth with the changes of touch flo 3d2, glazed over the fact that htc used all it could do to not make people recall the windows mobile experience, no opera information, picture comparisons, there was a lot lacking in this review that other sites (pocket now, phone dog, ppc italia just to name a few) hit on that bonnie didn't. And in fact in the other touch pro reviews she hit on those points and those intricacies in the brevity of her summaries. This was just feeling meh in comparison to the others... |

Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
I hate cnet's habit of dissing WM phones. Bonnie seems to concentrate on the flaws more than the good points. Regardless, I am getting more excited about the TP2 as the release draws closer. I just want to see the "TP2 is on it's way/Just got my TP2" threads.

typically I like bonnie's reviews and they hit on some point that seem to be fair and balanced. Do I think it is my fanboyism coming out in me for this device? No...because most other review sites have rested on the tpro2s strengths and weaknesses and we typically agree with the sites as well. Just this was one of bonnie's most unexciting and misinforming reviews. I haven't seen many of cnet's review on wm devices so I can't say that there is an anti wm bias, but on the sites listed they will tell you openly bias on wm |
Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
The 18-20 mb of ram(lack there of) were used to make the tp2 run smoother from what I understood,or misunderstood lol. Im a phone ***** so Im ready when sprint is ready to sell it to me. I dont keep backup phones, Im always ready to move on. :)

She stated the Good and the Bad and the review is suppose to throughly explain why this is the case. She mentions in the Bad the the phone has low onboard memory..but in the review she never even touches that topic... That I would already consider not professional. It is like when writing an essay and mention things in the introduction paragraph and then never get back to them in the body paragraphs. So now as a reader it leaves me wandering...low enough memory for what? what kind of memory? Personally if I were not to research it further and only read that review, my impression would be how the really old HTC phones were stuck with barely enough memory to run applications. That is the impression the review makes on me. That is my biggest problem with it, if a review doesn't have enough info look else where but if a review is vague and no other review focuses on this topic It gives you a feeling like maybe your missing something and leaves uncertainty. ________ Kidney disorders forums |
Re: CNET First Look HTC Touch Pro2
tp2 is way over rated....omnia pro FTW! 800mhz processor, 1gb memory, sd slot, full KB, amoled 3.7 screen, fm radio and more!

That said the TP2 is closer to release date and some of us are feeling for an upgrade. The TP2 just happens to be the good phone coming up soon. Personally my I am still using a Mogul because I didn't like the original TP's small battery and small screen..the TP2 on the other hand while is not a HUGE upgrade as far as feature wise from the original fits my criteria for an upgrade. ________ Vapir One Bags |
