Good find, Interestingly enough I want to see if it truly uses less power! Because our current phone (WM) that has one processor drain the life out of the batteries now! Only time (2010) will tell!

What happened to SnapDragon??? thats dual processors, reduce battery consumption like 40% too....

Once they implement the technology the M.I.T. kid came up with, disconnecting anttena from battery, we'll be pretty good on battery life on any phone

Re: Arm Dual core processors

i liked it, till i watched the "battery life vid"......"ON A NETBOOK SIZED BATTERY" i wondered what a 24 WHr battery was... snapdragon will be in phones, in my opinion their clearly wanting this for laptops mostly, since their talking about battery life, but PCs as well, but just for the performance of the processor...

am i wrong??? i didnt even know about this, least i dont think i did... its still impressive technology

tegra will be in phones as well eventually, not quite sure when but they've been talking about it enough. i think their starting out with netbooks cause its a more demanding market or something.

here is their developer hardware for the smartphone platform: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDvaw...eature=related

Re: Arm Dual core processors

TP2 is already obsolete. next year we will have TP3 with multi-core with much better battery life. last but not least, window mobile 7.

Re: Arm Dual core processors

hopefully windows mobile 7 will live up to its name and they'll provide more controlled support to their hardware and software vendors for more stable and easy to use platform.

There's no need to wait for dual core processing. You may already have it! At least, that's what I've always thought to be the case for my Sprint Touch with it's MSM7500 processor. Found this at softpedia:

...By the end of 2007, HTC will have launched more than 10 devices running on dual-core solutions from Qualcomm's MSM7xxx-series platform. Some of thephones already available include the Mogul by HTC, HTC 6800, HTC 5800 and HTC TyTN II...

Haha... we'll look back on when we had Qualcomm and Broadcom products in our phones and laugh when we're using Nvidia.
