does that mean that we will be able to update to 6.5 on that day? or in a few days after the release?

I was looking into flashing my phone this weekend to a custom rom, but if 6.5 is out shortly, it doesn't make much sense and I "could" wait.

news just in. there will be no wm6.5 released on may 11th.
they'll just be showing demos.

i guess we can say the 21501 builds arent even close to RC yet?

I think it will be a June - July release, to compete with iphone 3.0 and new palm.

The interface reminds me of zune. But so long as we have backwards compatibility, and multi-touch, i'm happy.

Ahhh, dude, it was scheduled to be released in Oct/Nov of 2009. So this is good news...

Also, this release will be the first of many. The base is what all of us who have 6.5 ROMS are running now. Hence the Alpha label on it.

So I don't see the full, hard-core version being released until the fall.

All it does is give PPC chefs a little more room to play around in. I believe the build officially right now will be 21501 or so...

True. But are the ROMS we have now stable? I would hate to unlock and switch to a 6.5 ROM and some of the features dont work.

true that, i am using NFSFAN on the Vogue and its as stable as can be, but im currently running Android till we get something head turning cuz its a good improvement over 6.1 but not enough

I been running 6.5 for a wile now. Its nice, hope it hurry up to come out.
