Re: WM 6.5 In action on the Diamond2

Is that a FULL build of WM 6.5 or one of the early beta's that have been floating around?

That browser scrolling/panning was very laggy. Not impressed!

i think it might just be the choppy video to blame for the choppy presentation. it does look alot better overall than the 6.5 video on the HTC hd on youtube. (not counting the bad quality of the video itself) IMHO

I thought that at first until I realized that the Menu scrolling looked perfect. And the video quality is better than many of youtubes videos.

Maybe its still a beta build, and not the final rollout.

I think that's a pretty safe bet.

y know
gotta admit flipper is right on ball with the ball with the beta rom he released based on the progress of wm 6.5
that said I'm not impressed after using it. I think I am in the minority but give me wm 6.1 anyday over this
and yes I've used 6.5 on my tp its just as laggy as the beta in the video.
I think above all else is the memory leaks that are still in windows mobile...that's the worst part

Did all notice thwe jurkyness of the honey comb menu when he was flicking it up and down. HAHAHA! I smell missing d3d drivers on this aswell. The screen is beautiful, but no way in helll will I spend one more dime on missing drivers devices.

alpha software at this point ... how do you like the honeycomb menus? ... did you notice ie wouldn't zoom until the whole page loaded (yawn)

and here's another link to the same video: http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/16/w...with-engadget/

Re: WM 6.5 In action on the Diamond2

the concept is ingenious but horribly mismanaged sadly. htcs alternate start menu on tp2 is much better than that truth be told...
slow, laggy, very little customization at this point. So its like windows went backwards a few steps.
You know maybe they should just let htc build the new os or the guys at meizu who have a win ce 6 device (scary enough)
