HTC to release Snapdragon device
 

Here is good news... It seems that HTC will be releasing a handset based on Qualcomm's new mobile platform, called 'Snapdragon'... It spec's includes a 1 Ghz processor.. More info found here..

The only bad news.. It looks to not be out until the fall of this year...

What up Big D ? Tis a shame there's no image yet for that phone. I saw that new Toshiba mentioned on that link on Youtube today. It might be thin but it's still got some serious surface area. And they talk about the TP in yer pocket. That thing is like a jr. lap top.

one thing that'll make most phone geeks 'immediately' buy a new phone, is if the next one is released with the huge Touch HD/Iphone size screen.

if that's the case...it's gonna be another extreme rush like it was with the pro. Guaranteed.

No.......Snapdragon is the chipset that Qualcomm's has created and there are currently no spec released yet for the HTC version of the phone. Although they will not be the first handset maker to introduce such a powerful device — we’ve already seen the shiny Toshiba TG01 announced — we’ve no doubts HTC knows what it’s doing. (Two different Phone if you haven't caught on yet):thumbleft:

I want the TP2, but then again should I just wait for Toshiba TG01 or Snapdragon to release.

This is what I am holding out for. This is what I thought the TP2 was going to be but, its not to be. It would be nice to match it with Android, a nice 3.5" display(the 4.1 of the Toshiba is just to large for a phone), and a good 5.0MP camera. Oh, and have it out in August when my contract expires for $300. Hey I can dream can't I?

screw htc, im buying the TG01 that thing is a monster!!!
its bigger than the iphone and has a much larger screen too.. flippin crazy!

Yeah, that puppy is to big for my taste. To me the sweetspot is 3.5-3.7. I could imagine carrying that thing around in my pocket.

I heard someone wanted something larger than the Tosh's 4.1 inch screen? So if you have a crave for Monster size PPC, HTC has got a replacement for its HTC X7510, NAMED: Thoth. With a 4.8inch wide screen! :headbang:1Ghz Snappy-Dragon inside ,256Ram, 512ROM, 5MP camera,and an unknown amount of built-in storage(should be 32GB).

But beware!! I've got burnt first hand by these things! I am using the older model, HTC X7500, and once I got so pampered and used to its huge 5inch screen, I could never go back to regular sized screen, not even the apple's 3.5inch screen could satisfy me. Hence my options are only limited to those 4 inchers above, and thats not very flexible.

snapdragon is a processor though, ain't it? and the nvidia tegra is a video chip.

at least that's what I thought...
