The Chinese telecom that gets to release it first probably payed a huge financial sum to be able to do so.. Too bad I heard that any current phone running WM 6.1 will not get the upgrade...

basically because of this...

A lot of older phones don't have the RAM capable of running it... Plus it's easier (I bet) to create the program for new phones instead of picking and choosing which phones get it or what not...
