I like Samsung products and I was sure hoping that sprint would get this phone but looks like gsm darn!

Phone Scoop has received some details about a new Pocket PC Phone from Samsung.

According to the source, the upcoming Samsung i770 will offer tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity in the popular clamshell form factor. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, it will come with an integrated Bluetooth transceiver, micro-SD card slot, and a 2-megapixel rotating camera with flash.

The novelty will be equipped with a butterfly-style thumb keypad to enable QWERTY input within a small area. Also used in the Sony Ericsson M600, this solution allow the user to input two letters by pressing either left or right sides of the keys. Other features include an external color display and a jog switch for scrolling and media playback control.

Those were the only details about the Samsung i770 so far.

Sprint should be getting this phone, if I remember correctly. I was looking at this phone in December of 2003, they kept promising me that they would have it, but then late Jan of 2004, they finally told me they had no idea when they would receive it. The alternative was the 660, but it was not smart yet. hehe. I think that this phone has been re-worked a few times since I was looking at it though, and it may not be something that Sprint can even work with anymore. This is just my recollection, don't quote me on any of this.

yeah it does kinda look like a mix between the blade, the i600, and the a940. Maybe it is CDMA.
