"Gallery" on Droid
 

I am using the "Gallery" program on the Droid to look at pictures and launch movies stored on the phone. The Gallery lists every picture stored on the phone (including album art for every album stored on the phone) This makes the app very slow to load. Is there a way to just list pics in a certain directory? If not, is there an other app that will let me point to a specific directory for pics and movies?

Can't find an app just called "Gallery", I see Photo Gallery, My Gallery, Gallery Glider.... Can you give us more details?

Gallery is the default picture viewer on the Droid. I don't think you can download it from the market. I have noticed that it lags a tiny bit when you have a lot of photos on there, but for me it's not all that bad. That said I'd be interested in a good photo viewer also. I haven't been able to find one as of yet...

Gallery is already on your phone. Just open the full applications shade and scroll to the "G"s and you should see it there. :)

Astro File Explorer is a free app that allows you to browse the folders in the SD card one by one, and then view the pics within that folder :) Astro even has it's own pic viewer to view the pics after you select the folder.
