Droid Tips and Tricks - Multitouch and better Battery life

Hey guys so i did it .. I left my touch pro for a Droid. I will miss my TP but I think the Droid was the best replacement for it. I have been playing with the phone for a few days now and I love it. I found that it can do multitouch and made a Video to help some people out .. if your interested take a look if not I really hope you are enjoying your phone.

has anyone found any other apps other then the Picsay app that uses multi touch ?

someone smarter than i has to figure out how to root the droid. if all the sholes are rooted the same way, we can steal the euro versions of the browser and photo app. those have multitouch implemented. i'd love to see a real implementation too, something that works as well as the iphone. picsay doesn't do multitouch justice. you can only use the gesture in the direct center of the photo. you can't zoom into a specific part of the photo. you can only zoom into the center and then pan over. lame.

Agreed. I was all excited to try the multi-touch in Picsay, but it really doesn't work that well. If you don't touch both fingers to the screen at EXACTLY the same time it doesn't work. I'm sure we'll see some interesting multi-touch stuff soon.

Im hoping that with a software update the phone will use the multitouch for more then just that one app

A good use if multitouch pinch to zoom in used in the PhoneMyPC application. This program lets you log into you home or office computer from any internet location and control that PC from your phone. The screen will look just like your desktop on the remote computer. I use it nightly to check out the servers at another location.
