Apps open spontaneously
Does anyone else have apps that spontaneously open after the phone has been idle for awhile? Everything from the camera to you name it will be running in the background after using the app kill program to close everything and then leaving the phone idle for awhile.

Re: Apps open spontaneously
yeah that happens to me also, not sure what causes it. hopefully there will be a software update soon, since ive heard most of the cameras on these things are really buggy.

Re: Apps open spontaneously
Have never seen this. Are you using a holster with a magnet in it? That can turn on the car dock and multimedia dock features and stuff can be turned on that way.

Re: Apps open spontaneously
No holster....happens when its just sitting on a wooden table.

Re: Apps open spontaneously
Yes, that does happen occasionally. No idea why.

Re: Apps open spontaneously
I don't mean that they actually open on screen, but a ton of stuff is always running in the background eating up memory, even shortly after I run an app kill program

Re: Apps open spontaneously
I don't have a droid phone but I have a Samsung Moment with Cupcake (1.5) and I see this all the time. I'm kinda dumbfounded that the camera or Sprint Navigation or any number of apps starting on their own after I use a task killer to end all the processes and it's been idle for awhile...
Sucks that people still see this issue, even with 2.0 |
Re: Apps open spontaneously
Sounds like it might be something like vista's pre-caching of apps. Fills up your memory with the apps so that they can load faster when you need them. If it is like vista's pre-caching, it won't slow your machine down because the memory will be overwritten when needed for something else. Don't take this as fact though, because I didn't really do any research.

Yeah, I thought I ditched memory leaks with Windows Mobile
