Froyo & phone favorites list
 

Is there a way to whack the contacts that appear on the "favorites" list in Froyo? This list is driving me nuts. There are contacts listed there that I've long since whacked from my contacts list. There's got to be a way to whack this list.........

long press, remove from favorites.

there is no "remove from favorites" associated with a long press. "Delete contact" will whack the contact from the Gmail contact list. Don't want that.

Hmm. I have remove from favorites on mine. Just to check, your doing this on a contact currently in your favorites list right?

if I long touch a contact listed on my favorites list, my choices on the menu are view, call, text, edit and delete contact and add to favorites, which doesn't make sense because I'm looking at the favorites list....and it's already there.

This is freekin' WHACK, man! The damned thing has my contact list all messed up!! Contacts are not being displayed as they are entered in GMail......I've got about a thousand phone numbers here!!!!! DAMN....................the phone is set to sort the list by last name and display last name first, and it's just randomly displaying the contacts however it wants to........like all the doctors........entered as Doctor, Eye...etc......and with the settings indicated it's displaying Eye, Doctor.

How do I dump this Froyo?!?!? this blows.............

Sounds like you just have an issue with your contacts for some reason. Your the only person I have heard of that Froyo has messed up the contacts so I'm not sure that I would just blame Froyo.

Are you using a custom Froyo ROM? Perhaps it is a bug with that ROM.

I used the rom downloaded from the thread posted right here in this forum......"tested and verified".....

When the "official" vzw rom is released, Will I get it OTA even though I already flashed? Can I go back to 2.1?

Yes you will even if you have the 2.2 you will get a new release because there is a new rom coming out called frg22 and it is what verzion and moto gonna release that they fixed some bugs
