All my sms vanished...i need some for court case. Help!
 

Any idea how to find where they went, and how to fix the problem? My last data back up was a few weeks ago and I desperately need to keep one thread.

Any Ideas or aid is welcome.

Others may have different answers, but I think unless you saved them recently they are probably gone now. Hopefully someone will give you a better answer.

i dont know if messages are saved on the sd card but if they are you can hook up the card to the computer and recover deleted files, it would take about 30 hours because it recovers every file ever deleted...
if they are stored on the phone maybe you can find a temp file in root explorer somewhere

unless there is a "deleted" folder that they are moved to i would say your SOL. if you needed them, why didnt you back them up? also, not sure how well text would stand up in court. i can go online and make text seem like they come from anyone.

I may be wrong, but I remember reading somewhere that it can be obtained from your service provider. At the very least it couldn't hurt to give them a call.

If they are needed for court, the only way you get messages from your provider is to subpoena them for the info. They won't release it otherwise. You can probably look up the history (from a billing perspective) but they won't give you the actual info in the messages.
