Excluding folders from the gallery
 

So I have a Droid running 2.2, although I would imagine this would be for 2.1 as well.

I have some pics on my phone... that..um... would be bad if some people saw them. I put them in a special folder on my SD card, but like an annoying puppy, my Droid dug them up and plastered them into the gallery.

Is there any way to exclude folders from the gallery? Ideally it would be like having pictures only in the pictures folder show up, and no others. I just want to use Astro to get to them, and not have to worry about someone checking out my phone accidentally stumbling upon these pics...

Have you tried adding a .nomedia file to the folder?

There's actually an app that I use called File Cover: Free. It allows you to add up to 12 (paid version is unlimited) pictures and it hides the pictures from everything including Astro. I can't imagine having more then 12, but hey-we all have different needs. haha

Finally got around to trying the .nomedia thing... worked perfect.

My wife will be happy now knowing that it is harder to stumble on the pics of her that I took....
