Hey kid.......how'd u get so smart? I searched for *.gif on the phone and didn't find it.

U overclock, do ya? Are there any risks to overclocking? What are the advantages, and how's it done?

You're in Schenectady? I'm in Spencerport.

how did i get so smart lol... i have been interested in this stuff since i was 3 years old. i spend most of my time computer programming or flashing roms. i love it!
someday i hope to be a computer programmer and develop and OS :D

you would have to look in root explorer, its on the phone not sd card.... i can just upload a gif if you dont have root explorer

no risks to overclocking. if you overclock to much the phone will just be really really slow. you need to be rooted. then you need to install a custom kernel (included with most roms) then you need to buy setCPU from the market. and after that you just set it to the speed you want and your done!

spencerport? thats near rochester, right?

I think he means it lags when your processor reaches its limit. Some handle the OC better than others. Some phones peak out at 800mhz and some run just fine at 1.3ghz.

I can stay steady with mine w/ BB and over clocking @ 1100 but anything over that I just get random reboots and then i know to take it down a nouch.

im on bb and i can barley do 900. anything over that, even 950 causes reboots every 3 seconds...:banghead::banghead::banghead:

ps: i know my sig says 1ghz but i just havnt changed it in a while...

Anything under 1ghz makes the scrolling too choppy IMO. At 1-1.2ghz, it scrolls very very smooth and switches apps really fast. I'm not sure I could live with my phone if i couldn't clock it to atleast 1ghz.
