Pulling a wallpaper from a rom.
 

Can anyone tell me where to find a wallpaper that is cooked into a rom? I really like one of the wallpapers on BB 1.0 nextheme, but I like the smoked glass theme better overall. Where are the wallpapers files located on the phone or in the .zip for the theme/rom? I poked around a bit and couldn't find it?

The default one is inside framework-res.apk
pull /system/framework-res.apk using ADB and extract its contents.
find the wallpaper in the res/drawable-hdpi.

the others (probably the ones you're after) are in Launcher.apk. pull /system/app/Launcher.apk

My memory may serve me wrong as to the locations but those are the APK's you are after.

EDIT: or I could just post a zip of the wallpapers.. lol here it is.

Is that in SG or BB? I have SG 6.0.1 and did not see that wallpaper in launcher.apk. I have never tried BB but I am considering it, with ESE81 and all.

It is BB1.0 with the smoked glass theme, but the WP was from the Nextheme, which I tried first. It runs pretty well, no complaints here.

does it have to say the droid? i have one just like(without those words, its from the developer with his name there instead) that if you want it.

I already had the blank one and the nextheme one. I did find the wallpaper.

This is from the launcher.apk in the Pete's nextheme skinned BB 1.0 via rom manager.
