I would encourage any Android owner who's an email power user to try Touchdown. It's much more robust and supports almost all ActiveSync protocols. (Moto doesn't support 29 of them)

thanks for your recommendation, I'm trying it right now and so far i like it.

Yeah, it's worth trying, not everyone can justify the $20 to purchase the app after the 5 day trial. Money well spent for alot of users though.

go to mail icon
add account
enter email address in email address filed (name@yahoo.com)
enter password at password field select MANUAL SETUP not next
select imap
username= name@yahoo.com
password = your password
Imap server= imap.mail.yahoo.com
port=143
security=none
optional = blank
select next

You will then be taken to the smptp settings which only prompts you for address which is smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com.
leave the port as is.
then select next.
sign in.
name your account and that's it.

Just to clarify, there IS e-mail search that works very well. Open your e-mail and click the search button...there you go. E-mail search.

call me crazy but i just can't find it, I'm on stock rom if that makes a difference. it only let me search contacts, browser, ect. i wen through the search settings also and there's not option for email. I'll stick with touchdown either way, it does not mismatch body and header on my emails..
OP. sorry about thread hijacking.
