Re: droid on metro pcs

Hey Reg how is Metro PCS service. I use a second phone for work and was thinking about switching over to it. I live in NY and have seen stores popping up all over the place.

Re: droid can now be fully flashed to metro pcs

I just got a metro pcs phone as a secondary phone for work. So far so good but was told by the sales who almost seemed to be talking me out of it that the coverage areas are not that large yet. Since I am using the phone locally and for $40 a month you can't go wrong.

Re: droid on metro pcs

the motorola droid can be use for metropcs with web and mms working but you need to find a pro to flashed the phone properly. the only way to get the phone to metropcs system is to have the esn added, there is no other way aorund yet.

Re: droid on metro pcs

Hey all - My wife and I just took the android plunge and got two gently used Droids off ebay. They were both running 2.2, but when I took them to get flashed over to Metro, the guy doing it at the store downgraded them to 2.1 running Smoked Glass v6.0. I want to know if I can upgrade the ROM now that it's already flashed and still be able to work on metro. I've got full internet, gps, mms (as long as I don't use the highest quality 5mp pics), talk, and text, and I don't want to mess that up, but I'm really not feelin the 2.1 smoked glass after having played with the 2.2 rom that came on the phones.

I've searched here, droidforums, howardforums, google, etc and the question's been asked but never answered - can I upgrade to a 2.2 rom without messing up the phone's settings?

Thx in advanc
