Home Dock
I have two home docks. One in the office connected to my PC via USB cable and one at home connected to wall outlet. When the Droid is put in the one at home the "multimedia station" screen stays lit up as long as the phone is in the dock but at work the screen goes off after about 30 seconds. Is there a setting I can change so I can see the clock the whole time it is in the work (usb to pc) dock?

Re: Home Dock
Do you have the stay awake setting on? This will keep your device awake while charging. Should work on your PC also. Settings/Applications/Development.

Re: Home Dock
if it stays on at home, then is probably not an "awake" setting on the phone (though i have been known to be wrong in the past:) )
I would bet its some USB setting on your PC... does the screen only go off on the work dock when the phone is fully charged? (meaning, if you put the phone on the dock when its only half charged will the screen stay on until its fully charged? -D |

Re: Home Dock
That worked like a charm! Now another issue has popped up. When I plug the phone into the USB port it acts like it is connecting. The phone displays the "do you want to mount msg" and I reply yes. The problem is that even though it looks like the phone is mounted the drive does not show up on the pc. This worked fine a few days ago. Things I have done to try to fix:
1) Restart PC 2) Restart phone 3) change usb cable to two other usb ports on PC 4) uncheck "stay awake" box. Does anyone have any other ideas? |
Re: Home Dock
I figured it out! The Droid was trying to take F: which is already my network drive. Went into computer management and reassigned to Y: and it appears to be working fine now.
