missing contacts from forward text
 

I am having a bit of an issue. I love that you can forward almost anything from any droid program. My question is, when I do a contact search the one contact I want to send the forward to isn't on my list, but she is a contact on the phone.

I havent had an issue with this yet, but maybe I just havent noticed. I'll try to reproduce your problem on mine and see if I can find a fix for ya. Is this happening to you in the sms function or e-mail?

+1 on this I will try to reproduce it as well if you will tell us under what conditions is it a photo you are forwarding, a video, a text, an email, an app link just let us know and we will see if this happens to us.

Is it possible that you don't have the number in your phone properly? Sometimes messaging programs only show contacts with mobile numbers, so if the contact isn't filed as a mobile, that could be your issue...

I dunno, I've been trying to replicate the problem on my phone with sms and it recognizes all my contacts, even the ones that arent mobile numbers. I use Handcent too BTW, not sure if this might be an issue with the stock sms application.

I dunno either, I use ChompSMS and it lets you choose in the settings, but I know I have seen it happen on other platforms with other applications, so it could be a possible cause. I just know that most times you have screwy issues like that the answer is ridiculously simple and often overlooked!

Definitely a good suggestion for him to check still. I always put the area code in my contacts as well, maybe that has something to do with why his wont recognize that one number.

Ok much like Breakmyfootoff I have tried to replicate this problem and in all instances I have had all my contacts show up no matter how or what I try to forward although I did have a similar problem with my storm when I had tried to save an additional number onto a contact but my phone had created a completely new contact entry of the same name and then when I went to forward or send things to them they didn't show up until I did away with the duplicate...but it doesn't sound like that is your problem.
